Invisalign® encompasses a series of custom-made aligners. These are worn in a precise sequence according to the movements your teeth go through during treatment. Every 2 weeks you will wear the next aligner in the sequence, bringing you a step closer to a natural-looking smile with each changeover.
Invisalign® aligners are made of BPA-free plastic. They have been designed with patient comfort in mind and are not obstructive when you go about your day-to-day activities.

Your Patient Journey
Consultation
Your dentist assesses your smile to ensure you are medically fit for treatment with Invisalign®. This involves carrying out a full examination of your mouth and taking X-rays. Your consultation is also a chance to ask us anything you wish about Invisalign®. The consultation is no obligation, and we will always be transparent about the limitations of treatment and your range of treatment options.
Preparation
Our state-of-the-art iTero scanner will take digital impressions of your teeth used to create your Invisalign® aligners. These scans are sent to the Invisalign® lab, where your aligners are fabricated. Once they are sent back to the practice, you can begin the next stage of wearing your aligners for 22 hours each day.
Straightening your teeth with Invisalign®
Wear your aligners each day, remove them to eat, and clean your teeth. We will ask you to come and see us for check-ups every 6-8 weeks.
Post-treatment Care
Once your dentist is happy that your teeth have reached their final position, you will need to wear a retainer to ensure they do not fall out of position.
