Introduction To Emergency Dental Care

  • Appointment slots available within 24 hours.
  • Weekend appointments available.
  • We prioritise sending patients home pain-free wherever possible.
  • Care from a team of compassionate clinical professionals.

Your Patient Journey

Contacting your Dentist
When you contact us, a member of our friendly reception team will ask you for a summary of your symptoms. They will then book you in for an emergency appointment. You may receive a call from one of our dentists with care instructions to adopt prior to your appointment.

Your Emergency Appointment
Your dentist will assess your mouth, take X-rays, and provide painkillers and antibiotics if necessary. We may be able to perform restorative treatment such as a tooth extraction or a filling during your emergency appointment. If this is not clinically possible on the day, we will invite you to return for a follow-up appointment.

Our Promise

When you choose Lakewood Dental for emergency dental care, you are putting your oral care in the hands of professionals who truly care about seeing you healthy and pain-free again, as soon as possible.

The equipment we have invested in allows us to speed up the process of getting you pain-free.

Our oasis of high-quality dentistry is a serene environment that instantly helps you to feel relaxed and assured that you are future-proofing your teeth and smile. Our clinical team members have a compassionate chair-side manner and are highly adept at helping nervous patients.

FAQs

What is a dental emergency?

The following scenarios are dental emergencies:

  • A knocked-out tooth.
  • Continuous bleeding from the mouth.
  • Wisdom tooth infections and pain.
  • A tooth has become loose
  • Damage to dental restorations (such as crowns, dentures, bridges and Invisalign® aligners).

When is the best time to call for an emergency dentist appointment?

Please contact us as soon as you can after a dental emergency has occurred. The earlier you contact us during the day, the faster we can get you seen by an experienced private dentist.

If your dental concern is not an emergency, we will endeavour to book you in within 2-3 days.

Do I need my emergency dentist or A&E?

If you experience any swelling in the jaw or neck area which obstructs your breathing, please contact A&E right away.
