Sedation in a Nutshell
IV (intravenous) sedation is a conscious type of sedation that your dentist administers with a very small needle, usually on the back of the hand.
Our Midazolam sedative is part of the benzodiazepine family. It creates muscle-relaxing and anticonvulsant effects. You will feel completely relaxed and unaware of any anxieties you were feeling prior to the sedative being administered.
